Two Days in Corcovado National Park

On this tour the hike will be around 8 hours through rain forest and along the beach,  There is ample opportunity to observe many animals during the tour along with a great view of beautiful nature and landscapes. Our guides are ready to give the best experience during this adventure.

The day of return, day two, has several options to return to Puerto Jiménez, by hiking out to Carate same way in, hike out to Los Patos or even take a Boat to Drake Bay and then a Taxi to Pto Jimenez. All this option are always open to do,(except Los Patos which is not recommended during raining season),The walk through Los Patos is an approximate of 30k, this trail has an irregular topography, most of this trail is flat, but descents, climbs and rivers  are presents.

If you decide to hike out whether to Carate or Los Patos the hike will start very early around 5:30 am. if you decide to take the boat to  Drake’s bay it will departure in the afternoon (around 12:00pm-1:00pm). That would give you more time to walk the trails around the Sirena Ranger Station and will let you explore more parts of the most unspoiled and pristine wilderness in Corcovado National Park.

Departure is at 5:30am from Pto Jimenez to Carate. The road is around 43 km long from Puerto Jimenez.

If you come with a rental car we recommend to rent a 4WD, the road Pto Jimenez-Carate is not paved and 4WD could be a great help.
