Cocoa was the engine of the economy of this region where small producers dedicated their efforts to planting cocoa to provide sustenance for their families.
The tour consists of taking a tour of the farm where your guide will explain the entire chocolate process and you have the opportunity to participate in the different cocao processes, this shows that cocoa continues to support the economy of rural families.
The farm where the tour takes place in addition to having cocoa planted complements with fruit trees the idea is to represent a traditional Costa Rican farm through its crops.
